It is designed for general every day mattress protection for children and adults alike. Without a waterproof protector a mattress will very soon become marked and stained as perspiration, moisture and liquids pass through the sheets to the mattress below.
The upper surface is made from a polyester/cotton terry towelling. On the underside is a waterproof PVC membrane.
This budget mattress protector can be machine washed and tumble dried on a medium heat setting.
