At one time the only bed sizes available were the standard Single, Double and King Sizes but now there is a much wider range of sizes available. This is partly because room sizes in modern homes have become smaller resulting in narrower versions of the usual standard size beds being produced such as the small double size which is only 4 feet wide instead of 4’6, and partly due to large furniture retailers such as Ikea selling continental sizes of mattress which tend to be longer than UK sizes and in unusual widths.
Finding a mattress protector for unusual size beds can be difficult but at Snugnights we try to manufacture mattress protectors in as many sizes as we can. It is not possible for us to make an individual mattress protector to suit a custom made bed but if we see a particular size of mattress being offered on general sale we will try to incorporate that size in to our range.
